Frank C. Poznanski, 68, of Wolverine, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at home.
A resident of Wolverine since 1979, moving from Detroit, Frank was born December 23, 1944 in Detroit , the son of Frank and Helen (Balamucki) Poznanski.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1966, and on October 20, 1967 in Detroit , he married Linda Nagi. He owned and operated Maverick Electric, Inc., retiring in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, reading, family gatherings at his home, and trips to the casino, and was a member of the Cross in the Woods Catholic Church, the Wolverine American Legion, served on the Wilmot Township Fire Board, and was a Wilmot Township Trustee for 21 years.
Surviving are his wife, Linda, a daughter, Lori (Rick) Mason of Lansing , three grandchildren, Kirstie, Mattie, and Kiefer, a sister, Rosemarie Poznanski of Coldwater, and niece, Amy Poznanski of Reading .
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at noon, with the family greeting friends beginning at 10:00am, at the Cross in the Woods Catholic Shrine in Indian River, with Rev. Mike Haney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the “Father Donard Fund for the Poor”, C/O Cross in the Woods, 7078 M-68, Indian River, MI 49749 The Lintz Funeral Home in Indian River is caring for the family.
