Dennis Urman, 62 of Boyne City, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by family at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey, Michigan on March 14, 2013.
Dennis was born March 6, 1951 in Petoskey, Michigan to Jack and Bonnie (Jensen) Urman. He grew up in the Walloon Lake and Boyne City area. He attended Boyne City High School. On September 10, 1988, Dennis married his best friend and love of his life, Kris Dashner in Petoskey, Michigan.
He had a special place in his heart for the Melrose Fire Department and would be one or the first people in line to help with special events, benefits and breakfasts. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family (especially his grandkids), farming, being on a tractor, playing poker with the guys, cooking, and going for long rides.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Kris Urman, sons Todd (Connie) Urman and Matthew Urman; daughter Amy (Obie) Wicker; grandchildren Jenna and Alissa Urman and his "little buddy", Jack Wicker.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jack Urman and Bonnie Urman; and brother James Urman.
A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon Monday, March 18, 2013 at Walloon Lake Community Church with a gathering of family and friends being held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Pastor Jeff Ellis and Pastor David Behling will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Melrose Fire Department.
