Augustine "Auggie" Stanley Fiel

Augustine “Auggie” Fiel, age 81 of Boyne Falls passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

Auggie was born on May 28, 1935 in Boyne Falls, the son of Peter and Zofia Fiel.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting.  He moved to Alaska and spent twenty years working as an electrician and heavy equipment operator before he returned back to his home town of Boyne Falls.  Auggie also enjoyed music and was a member of a Polka band.

A memorial mass will be celebrated 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at St. Augustine Church in Boyne Falls.  Family and friends are welcome to visit from 4:30 until the time of service.  Fr. Frank Partridge will be serving as celebrant and a dinner will follow the service.
