Barbara Ann "BJ" Bogensberger

   Barbara Ann “BJ” Bogensberger 55 of Alanson died unexpectedly May 17, 2015 in Minnesota. She was born August 12, 1959 in Redford Twp., Mi. to Steven and Adeline (Beloungea) Trach. She grew up in Redford Twp. where she attended school and graduated from high school in 1978. On October 31, 1987 Barbara married Joseph Bogensberger in Lyons, CO. and the couple settled in Cross Village, later moving to the Alanson area. Barbara loved children and spent her time providing child care in her home. She also enjoyed interacting with animals.

   Barbara is survived by her husband and two sons Steven and Michael both of Alanson.

   The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday May 22nd at 11:00 AM at Cross in the Woods Catholic Church in Indian River. Fr. Michael Haney will be the celebrant. Following a luncheon interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Cross Village. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.

   The family suggests honoring Barbara’s memory by making a donation to Down Syndrome Association of Northwest Michigan, PO Box 2151, Traverse City, Mi. 49685.
