Beverly Jean (Hausler) Dyer

Beverly Jean Dyer, 93 of Boyne City went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2018 at the Villa On The Bay in Petoskey.

Beverly was born on October 15, 1924 to Edith and Oscar Hausler in Boyne City.  She grew up in and attended school at Boyne City Public Schools.  In 1942 she married her best friend, sweetheart and the love of her life Kenneth D. Dyer and together they shared seventy-one wonderful years.

Beverley was employed by Essex Wire Co. of Boyne City for ten years.  Later in life Beverly and Ken enjoyed traveling across the U.S.A, two trips to Hawaii and several fishing adventures to Canada.  They purchased a winter home in Zephyrhills, FL where they spent twenty-nine winters.  Beverly loved her family, Holidays, family gatherings, her flower gardens and cooking.

Beverly is survived by four devoted daughters; Brenda (Dick) Streufert, Barbara Dyer and Linda Kenney all of Boyne City and Sherry (Steve) Ernst of Newberry.  Beverly and Ken also raised a granddaughter Cindy Burns, whom they considered as one of their children.  Beverly has eleven Grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, twelve siblings and a grandson; Stacey Ernst.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City with a visitation being held from 10:00 AM until the time of service with Pastor Jason Reynolds Officiating.  A luncheon will follow at the Free Methodist Church in Boyne City at 839 State Street, Boyne City, MI 49712.  Interment will be held in the spring at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Boyne City.
