Brenda Lynn (Leash) Steffen

Brenda Lynn Steffen, 57

Brenda Lynn Steffen, beautiful wife of Richard Steffen and wonderful mother of Rebecca and Joshua Steffen; passed from this life on July 22, 2016 at her home.  Brenda is also survived by her parents Paul & Geraldine Leash.  Her family will treasure the many memories of an incredibly special lady; who throughout her struggle with cancer never gave in to her illness.  Her determination and positive outlook were an example to all who knew her. 

Brenda was born November 20, 1958 in Warren, Michigan.  She was a graduate of Sterling Heights High School, Class of 1976.  On March 21, 1987 she married the love of her life Richard Steffen. 

Brenda worked for General Motors at the Design Center in Warren as a Billing and Receiving Clerk.  After retiring Brenda and Richard moved north and settled in Harbor Springs, making a home in Birchwood. 

Brenda's family plan to remember and celebrate her life with a memorial service locally at Stone Funeral Home, which will be led by Rev. David Behling at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 26th.  Another service will follow on Sunday, July 31st at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Romeo,  246 Benjamin St., Romeo, MI 48065.
