I initially met Carl in the NMC library in Sept. 1961. I was filling out college papers and he somehow knew there were two of us and politely introduced himself. We remained friends in passing during the our time at NMC. I truly enjoyed meeting him and comparing ancestry.

Dearest Carol Sue, Chris, Gretchen, Joe, Zach, Anna, Brendan, and Jeff,
Our hearts are sad, but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.
He loved all of you so much and was so proud to talk about each and every one of you when I visited. You were his world!
He was always so good to me and would spend time with me when I was little. He taught me how to ski and would take me to sit next to the captain on the ferry to Mackinac Island. He shared his toys and treats and always invited me to go on errands. He was kind, thoughtful, fun to be with and he will always have a special place in my heart. Love, Joelle and family
