Catherine Brodhead-Lauer

Catherine Brodhead-Lauer, 59, of Harbor Springs, Michigan (formerly of Grosse Pointe, Michigan), passed away on January 10, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Cathy was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan on September 16, 1958, a daughter of Nancy G. Allen and Richard T. Brodhead Jr.   Cathy moved to Harbor Springs in 1974 and was a 1976 graduate of Harbor Springs High School. She attended North Central Michigan College.

Cathy married Bryan G. Lauer in 1981 and they were blessed with two wonderful children to whom she was devoted.

Cathy is survived by her husband Bryan, children Peter and Morgan, and close loved one Layne Compton. Her surviving siblings are Christine Smith, Richard “Thornie” Brodhead III (Christine), Brian Brodhead (Patty), and Carey Hall, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Peter S. Brodhead.

Those wishing to make a memorial donation may consider the Harbor Springs Historical Society.

A memorial celebration of Cathy's life is planned for Saturday June 9, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 PM at 7286 W. Stutsmanville Rd. Harbor Springs, Michigan with a memorial service beginning at 2:30pm.

Arrangements are in the care of the Stone Funeral Home of Petoskey.
