Dan "Cubby Bear" Denison

August 2, 1952 ~ May 16, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Dan "Cubby Bear" Denison of Boyne City went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 16, 2017, at the age of 64, surrounded by his family.

Dan was born on August 2, 1952, in Fenton, Michigan. He was a graduate of Fenton High School. Dan's parents, Clyde and Betty Denison, moved the family to Boyne City, Michigan, where they started the family party store. He later met and married his wife, Carol (Kozminski) in 1981 and they were blessed with two sons, Jason and Joel. In February of 2015, Dan and Carol were blessed with the arrival of their first grandchild, Lucy, which became his new favorite love.

Dan enjoyed life and enjoyed being with his family, that was his passion. He loved being on his pontoon boat during the summer. If you didn't see him out on his scooter, he was most likely out in the water. He also loved to fish, although he never seemed bring anything home. He enjoyed camping and anything else that involved being outdoors. Dan's personality was larger than life. He loved everyone he met and was loved in return by all. He didn't let anything hold him back, he enjoyed life.

Dan is survived by his wife, Carol Denison, son Jason (Jessica) Denison, son Joel (Heather) Denison, and grand-daughter Lucille Denison. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Betty Denison, and brother Gary Denison.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 19th at the Boyne City United Methodist Church with visitation being held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Family and friends wishing to share a thought or memory of Dan are encouraged to do so online at www.stonefuneralhomeinc.com.
