David B. Schiller

David Schiller, 60 of Brutus, died Friday evening at home surrounded by his family. 

He was born on June 8, 1957 in Pontiac to Vernon and Audrey (Van Wagoner) Schiller.  He grew up in Pontiac and was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School.  He was an Eagle Scout.  He enlisted in the Unites States Army and served with the 101st Airborne.  In March of 1983 he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant, after 8 years of service. 

Following his military service, Dave attended North Central Michigan College where he earned an Associate’s Degree.  In 1985 he married Lori Barnhart and together they have made their home in Northern Michigan for the last 32 years.  Dave has worked for many years in the Information Technology field in various roles.  He was a man who enjoyed simple pleasures like fishing and hunting, or sharing a campfire with close friends and family. 

Including his wife Lori, Dave is survived by his brother Richard (Peg) Schiller, sister Laura (Bob) Grennan,  daughter Heather (Chris) Cannella, grandkids Madison, Isabella and Ryker, and nieces Kali Schiller, and Tori and Jaime Grennan and his faithful, and best friend Ace. 

In keeping with his simple lifestyle, his family will remember and honor his life privately.
