Duane Francis Kiogima

Duane Francis Kiogima, 80, peacefully walked on November 14, 2017, at Bay Bluffs in Harbor Springs, MI. 

Duane was born on July 25, 1937 to Augustine and Katherine Kiogima in Harbor Springs.  He spent his life in northern Michigan and was a Native American artisan in his younger years.  Duane enjoyed spending time with his friends at The Petoskey Club in later years and doing various crafts and puzzles.  

Duane is survived by his brother Robert (Betty) Kiogima, and was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Ann Schofield, and brothers Augustine, Raymond, Leon, John, and Frank.  He was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. Special thanks from the family to the staff at Bay Bluffs, who provided loving care to Duane in his final years.  A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey.
