Elizabeth Anye "Beth" Tellefsen

Elizabeth Anye “Beth Ann” Tellefsen, age 84, of Cheboygan passed away May 16, 2016 at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey. She was born September 8, 1931 in Cheboygan, the daughter of Euclid and Marjorie (Cantile) DuFrense.

Beth Ann was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Lioness and American Legion Auxiliaries where she had served as President for both groups. She was a floral designer by trade and an accomplished interior decorator. She will be remembered for her cooking and baking abilities and was notorious for her extravagant holiday bashes.

She will be deeply missed by her six children; Debi Van Paris and Chris (Dave) Sherman, both of Cheboygan, Dean (Linda) Van Paris of Albuquerque, N.M, Paul (Charles) Van Paris of Green Bay, WI, Elizabeth (Howard) Foley of Prudenville, MI and Pam (Chas) Burke of Union Bridge, MD, 10 grandchildren; Eric, Amy, Michele, Ryan, Corine, Michael, Adrienne, Liz, Benjamin and Rachel, 11 great grandchildren, Alexis, Dominika, Rebecca, Scottie, Stephanie, Zach, twins Cary and David, Kisa, Imelda “Chicken” and Liam, several nieces and nephews, and her very special friend, Verna Elenbaas. Besides her parents, Beth Ann was preceded in death by her sisters, Rayma Chevalier and Pamela Galbraith and a granddaughter, Stephanie Van Paris.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Pastor Trevor Herm officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service and a luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul United Methodist Church Memorial Garden.  Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
