Emily (Trojnarski) Chmielewski

Emily Chmilewski passed away on September 20.  She was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on July 30, 1918 the daughter of Bronislaw and Francheska (Sedior) Trojnarski. On October 4, 1941 Emily married the late Vitold Chmilewski at St. Ladislaus Church in Hamtramck.  Vitold and Emily moved to Boyne Falls in 1946. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Schoenbrun and grandchildren Lisa Schoenbrun, Jodi Schoenbrun Carter and her husband Brian Carter, great-granddaughter Eleanor Schoenbrun and many nieces and nephews. 

Emily was active member of the Boyne Falls Community and devoted member of St. Augustine Church.  In 1984 Emily and Vitold were honored as the Grand Marshals of the village’s annual Polish Festival.

Emily was always the first person to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  She cherished her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements are being handled by Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Monday at St. Augustine Church in Boyne Falls with the reciting of the Rosary at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow the service at St. Augustine Cemetery.
