Evelyn (Cub) J. Bradley, 87 passed away on November 28, 2017 in Blue Ash, Ohio at Hospice of Cincinnati. She was born Evelyn Jean Bayliss, to Roy and Mildred Bayliss, April 10, 1930 in Ellsworth, Michigan.  Evelyn attended school in Ellsworth and Alma, MI. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1947.  She worked and met her husband, Michael at the A&P grocery store in Boyne City, MI.  Evelyn and Mike had two children and raised their family in Boyne City aside from a brief time they lived in Newberry, MI. in the 1970's.  Evelyn retired from Bendix/Honeywell in 1995. After her husband and she retired they spent winters in Lakeland, Fl.  Evelyn continued to go to Florida up until this year.

She is survived by her son, Carl (Claire) Bradley of Orlando, Florida, daughter, Sheri (Steve) Hatch of Mason, Ohio, grandchildren, Ryan and Henri Bradley of Orlando, Jourdan, Collin and Jensen Hatch, all of Mason, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.  Her nieces and nephews, Brian and Pam Price and Rick and Rita Simon, helped her and her husband greatly during the time they spent in Boyne City in recent years, but especially in the time since his passing.  Words cannot express the sincere gratitude her children and she felt to her nephew, Fred Bayliss of Sacramento, CA.  He made immeasurable personal sacrifices over the last several years, first helping to care for her ailing husband during his last months of life and then spending months of every year to come and stay with her in Michigan. He allowed for her to spend the last several months of her life in the home she loved.  Evelyn canned lots of fruits and vegetables and made many varieties of jams and jellies through the years.  In fact, during the last summer of her life she insisted that tomatoes get canned and jelly be made for her daughter's family in Ohio. Since she was no longer strong enough to complete these tasks, she relied on Rita Simon and Fred Bayliss to do it under her watchful eye.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mildred Bayliss, brother, Edward (Nip) Bayliss, brother and sister-n-law, Howard and Dorothy Bayliss, sister and brother-n-law, Frank and Florine (Bayliss) Kenney and husband, Michael E. Bradley.

Her remains will be interred at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Boyne City, Michigan. There will be a private memorial service planned at a later date. Evelyn's family has asked that donations be made to the Boyne City Public Library in her name, in lieu of flowers.
