Frances Hill

Frances H. Hill, age 87 of Levering passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her home. She was born August 16, 1927 in Detroit, the daughter of Anthony and Helen (Voiland) Bonse. On June 5, 1948 in Detroit, Frances married Edward J. Hill who preceded her in death on October 20, 1994.

Frances was a homemaker and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting, square dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her five children, Charles (Donna) Hill of IN, Ilene (Roger) Gault of WI, Eugene Hill of Levering, Donald (Mary) Hill of PA and Gerald (Nancy) Hill of St. Clair, five sisters, Bernardine Post of FL, Charlotte Martin of Cheboygan, Dolores (Martin) Seng of Milford, Lorraine Perry of Coldwater and Mary Bonse of Maple City, 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the mass at the church. The Rev. Craig Haider will officiate. Memorial contributions in Frances’ name may be directed to the church.
