Just heard of cousin Frank's passing. My father (Glen Wangeman) and mother (Rosemary Shaver Wangeman) would bring us kids to "Uncle" Frank and Aunt Sandi's lake house. We loved visiting there. I remember a window in the house overlooking the Lake and thought how peaceful it looked. I also remembered how nice the family was. Last time I saw Uncle Frank and Aunt Sandi was at my Grandmother Ruth Shaver's funeral. I recognized both of them immediately for it had been several years since I saw them last. May you rest in peace now Uncle Frank and I hope you will see my father, mother, grandma Evelyn, grandpa Lyle B, grandma Ruth Shaver in Heaven. My condolences to Sandi and the family.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Frank. What a great man...too many words. He affirmed what I was taught about honesty and integrity in business. I will never forget the things I learned by watching him work. I'll be praying for you guys in this time of sorrow. May God bless you all.

Sandy,
I am so very sorry for your loss of Frank. I remember fun parties with Dick and Sharon and Dick Thomas. Now they can celebrate their life together in heaven,

My memories of "Uncle" Frank from the time I was young are filled with images of family gatherings. His smile lit up a room, embracing everyone within range in its warmth. I also remember "chats" he had with us, when our youthful energy took us to places we shouldn't be. As a parent, and grandparent, I now know the patience he exhibited (although we didn't appreciate it at the time) during those talks.
He was generous in so many ways. These last few years, he and Sandi opened their cottage to the cousins more than once, allowing for reconnection of our extended and scattered relations. He is missed but lives in all who knew him.
We send love and prayers to you, Sandi, Kurt, Bart, Erich and your families

I'm so sorry to read of Frank's death. Living next door to your family on Turbush Lane in East Bay View, I remember what a giving kind of man he was. It has been many years, but I've never forgotten the Wangmans. Prayers and thoughts for you all.

Frank's passing has left a chill n the warmth of our community. I wasn't able to see him as much as I used to but it didn't dim his smile at all when I ran into him. Frank is leaving Emmet and Charlevoix counties better for having been here. Certainly the architecture is better because of him as is the philanthropic community. Luckily for us, his family continues to a vital part of our way of life. To the family: thank you for sharing Frank with us; you are in my prayers.
