Harold Edward Bergquist, Jr.

Harold E. Bergquist, Jr., 62, of Topinabee, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

Visitation will be held from noon until 2:00pm, Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Topinabee Community Church.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm at the church.  Pastor Michael Sanders will officiate.

Harold was born on Feb. 3, 1953 in Detroit, MI.  He was the son of Harold and Mildred (Sheean) Bergquist, Sr.  He grew up in Garden City and graduated from Garden City High School in 1971.

On July 29, 1982 Harold married the former Julie M. Krushlin in Westland.  The couple made their home in Topinabee.  Harold was employed with Ford Motor Company.  He retired in 2004 as a Manufacturing Tech at the Livonia Transmission Plant.

Harold enjoyed serving on the Topinabee Fire Department.  He loved to hunt large game and ride his Harley.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his granddaughter.  He was a member of the N.R.A.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Heath Bergquist of Topinabee, Cody Bergquist of Topinabee, Casey (Scott) Pair of Chula Vista, CA; grandchildren, Annika Pair and Jeffery Fitzsimmons; sister, Donna (Harold) Barnett of Canton, MI; several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, Dan Johnson, Terry Johnson, Jerry Bergquist and Randy Bergquist.

Memorial contributions are suggest to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay or University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.  Lintz Funeral Home in Indian River served the Bergquist family.
