Welcome to the memorial page for

Jack L. Gasco

February 14, 1998 ~ May 17, 2016 (age 18) 18 Years Old

Jack Louis Gasco 18 of Harbor Springs died unexpectedly May 17, 2016. Jack was born February 14, 1998 in Petoskey. He grew up in Harbor Springs where he attended school and was a member of the graduating class of 2016. Growing up Jack played Little League Baseball, Pop Warner Football, was a Boy Scout and a member of the Harbor Springs Middle School band. Jack had a paper route for 3 years delivering the Petoskey News Review to customers in downtown Harbor Springs and on Main street.

Jack loved the outdoors and his favorite times were spent around a bonfire with family and friends. His sister Tricia states that he showed others what it meant to be a gentleman and an amazing human being. His smile and laugh were contagious and as warm as the Sun. Jack and his sister Olivia were so close in age they were considered as twins who would often argue over who was “tweedle dee” or “tweedle dum”. Their favorite show to quote together was SpongeBob which brought them endless laughs. His thoughtfulness and care for others was demonstrated when Gift of Life of Michigan was contacted so his death would help others to live.

Jack is survived by his mother Nancy Lightfoot, his father Daniel L. Gasco III, sisters Tricia Lightfoot and Olivia Lightfoot and niece Emma Elizabeth. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother Susan Lightfoot, and his paternal grandparents Daniel L. Gasco Jr. and Nancy Gasco. Jack was preceeded in death by his maternal grandfather Alvin L. Lightfoot.

A remembrance of Jack’s life will take place on Tuesday May 24th at 11:00 AM at the Holy Childhood Community Hall. Pastor Hillary Thurston-Cox will officiate. In honor of Jack donations may be made to the family c/o Tricia Lightfoot 2465 Stewart Rd. Petoskey, Mi. 49770.
