Jeanne Louise (Neitzel) Wurster

Jeanne Louise Wurster, 83 of Wolverine passed away on July 2, 2017 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

Jeanne was born on June 23, 1934 in Melrose Park, IL, the daughter of Philip Neitzel and Helen (Smith) Neitzel. She grew up in Oak Park, IL and attended school at Oak Park public schools. In 1986, she married Ralph Wurster in Kane County, IL.

She was a member of the Michigan Quilting Network for many years in which she was responsible for writing the newsletter. Jeanne also owned a lamp shop that she ran out of her home as well as serving as the Nunda Township Treasurer for a number of years.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Ralph Wurster, children Kimberly Gerry, Janice Siemonsma, Mark Johnson, and Montgomery Johnson, stepchildren Kenneth Wurster, Kathryn McDaniel, Cindy Hughey, Kurt Wurster, and Kelly Robart, twenty-two grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Philip and Helen Neitzel, daughter Pamela Johnson, and a sister Phyllis Mounts.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, July 6th at 1:00pm at the Silver Lake Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hiland Cottage Hospice in Petoskey.
