Jill Ann Harris-Martin

Jill fulfilled her baptism on May 20, 2017 at the age of 48 while at the University of Michigan Hospital.  She was born on July 7, 1968 to Garrett and Cheri Dickman-Harris in Gaylord.  Jill grew up in Harrisville and Boyne City, Michigan.  She graduated from Boyne City High School with the class of 1987.

After graduation, Jill attended Northwestern Community College and worked for several major retailers in sales management.  Jill has two beloved sons, Cody Scott and Connor Alan Beebe.  On July 12, 2005, she married the love of her life Dirk Martin and they resided in Boyne Falls. 

Jill enjoyed athletics and was known as a fierce competitor.  This competitive spirit continued into her golf game with her husband.   She always had a big smile, sense of humor, and a positive attitude to everything in life.  Jill spent the last several years living in their newly built retirement home with their two cats.  Jill enjoyed tending to her gardens, landscaping, and caring for the wildlife around their home.    

Jill is survived by her husband Dirk; sons Cody and Connor Beebe; step daughter Ami; mother Cheri Harris; sisters, Robyn (Jeff) Patchke; Paula (Matt) Jorgensen, brother Mark (Jill) Harris; nieces and nephews: Brendan, Christian, Madeleine, and Cameron Harris; Mitchell, Hannah, Gabriela Jorgensen.  Jill was preceded in death by her father Garrett, twin brother Scott, and sister in-law Debbie Grunch-Harris.

A graveside committal service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday May 24th at the Boyne Valley Township cemetery.
