Joanne (Detcher) Snyder

Joanne Snyder of Boyne City passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at the age of 68, surrounded by her family.

Joanne was born on March 20, 1949 in Holland, Michigan.  She was a graduate of Whitehall High School.  Joanne’s parents, Richard and Eleanor Detcher, moved the family to Boyne City in 1969.

Joanne enjoyed camping with family and friends and had a love for flowers.  Her favorite past time was spending time with her grandkids and family.

Joanne is survived by her three sons, Kevin (Peggy) Snyder, Scott (Tysh) Snyder, Brian Snyder, and her three beloved grandchildren, Colton, Brady and Ava Snyder along with her siblings Richard (Carol) Detcher II, Raymond Detcher, Amy VanHoosier, Nancy (Randy) Cain and Dave Detcher.  She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Eleanor Detcher, sister Kathryn Detcher and sister in-law Judi Detcher.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 24th at the Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City with visitation being held from 10:00am until the time of the service.
