Joseph F. Deibel

Joseph F. Deibel, age 92, of Indian River, MI, and formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey. He was born November 7, 1923 in Columbus, the son of Joseph and Inghram (Dornberg) Deibel.

Joe had owned and operated Deibel Heat Treating in Columbus from 1950 to 1979 when he retired. He always gave freely of his time and knowledge, touching many people's lives along the way.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Norma, four children, Nancy McTeague, Tom (Mary) Deibel, Rick (Christy) Deibel and Christine (Gary) Foley, eight grandchildren, John (Valerie) Grundey, Jeff (Kathy) Grundey, Joe Grundey, Jason (Cinthia) Deibel, Amberly (Kevin) Carracher, Todd (Tiffany) Foley, Patrick Foley and Ana Maria (Jose Ortiz), 16 great grandchildren, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two children, Connie and Andy.

At the family's request, a private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Joe's name may be directed to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay. Arrangements are being handled by the Lintz Funeral Home.
