Kirk Alan Carson

Kirk Alan Carson, 58, of Boyne City, died October 3, 2015 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Kirk was born on September 14, 1957 to Paul and Betty Carson.

He was a true northern Michigan man. He was raised in Boyne City and graduated from Boyne City High School. Kirk married Kelly Jo Smith and together they had thre children.  He loved doing everything outdoors; hunting, gardening, fishing and just spending time outside. He raised three children, Kandra, Kyle and Chelsea.

Kirk worked at United Technologies until 1988 and until recently he worked in the shipping and receiving department at Petoskey Plastics.

His family remembers him as having a big heart. He is survived by his children, Kandra Carson, Kyle Carson and Chelsea Carson, all of East Jordan; his siblings, Dennis Carson of Boyne Falls, Linda (Mark) Geothals of Boyne City, David Carson of Boyne Falls, Sandy (Ken) Padgette of Boyne City, Tom (Jackie) Carson of Gaylord, Sharon (David) Willson of Boyne City and Kathy (Tim) Drenth of East Jordan; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Kirk was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a visitation, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Stackus Funeral Home. There will also be a graveside service at Maple Lawn Cemetery on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Cloud of the Boyne City/Boyne Falls United Methodist Church will officiate the service.
