Lewis "Dale" Robinson, 80, died June 24, 2017 at his home.

Dale was born August 1, 1936 in Harbor Springs, MI. the son of Lewis and Eleanor (Slocum) Robinson.

On October 8, 1960, he married Joan Thompson and started a family.

Dale worked for Petoskey Plastics for many years as a truck driver and retired in 2000. He was an extremely hard worker. Dale will always be remembered for being a dependable and reliable employee and friend.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and listening to his "good ole country music".

Dale and Joan were both Golden member's of the Eagle's Club.

Dale was an extremely loving man and a true gentleman. The true love of Dale's life was his family; especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife, Joan Robinson of Petoskey; children, Cheryl Leonard of Holland, MI., Linda Cooper of Honor, MI., Diane (William) Carr of South Hackensack, NJ., and Gary (Sandy) Robinson of Petoskey; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Dale is preceded in death by his 8 siblings, Audrey, Lavina, Arbutus, Joan, Betty, Dorman, Robert and Sandy; as well as two son-in-laws, William Leonard and Mark Cooper.

There will be a memorial luncheon at the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians Cultural Center, on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
Charitable donations in memory of Dale are asked to be directed to the Petoskey Eagle's Club (FOE 2462) or the Karmanos Cancer Institute c/o the McLaren Foundation.
