Lynford Carl Gabel

Lynford Carl Gabel, age 69, of Pellston, Michigan passed away on March 9, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held in spring 2019.

He was born on July 26, 1949 in St. Johns, Michigan and is the son of Forest and Donna (Chadwick) Gabel. He grew up and attended school in Dewitt, Michigan.

Lyn moved to Petoskey in the 1970’s, where he worked at Petoskey Manufacturing, Lexalite, and Petoskey Plastics, before going to work at and retiring from Boyne Highlands to pursue his hobbies. He loved to ride motorcycles and restore antique furniture.

Lyn is survived by his brother Dave Gabel and sister Gail Barker. His three children: Dawn and husband George Foster, Jeremy and wife Tammy Gabel, Laura (Gabel) Stevenson. As well as his many grandchildren: Brittany and husband Shane Gerred, Trent, Deven and Seth Foster, Sami Stevenson and Dillon and Wyatt Fortune.  His greatgrandchildren: George Jr Foster, Dakota Jakeway and Journey Foster. Also his nieces and nephews: Rodney and wife Kayla Chapman, Debby Chapman and boyfriend, Jeff Franklin, and Lisa DeLaCruz and boyfriend, Eric Schrage.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
