Mary Catherine Hollopeter, 83, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
Mary was born November 8, 1934 in Topinabee, the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Morgan) Kolaski. On September 25, 1952 in Cheboygan, she married Harley Hollopeter, who preceded her in death. For many years she was employed at Ken’s Village Market in the Bakery and Garden’s. She loved being outdoors, family time, and mowing her lawn.
Surviving are her children, Dick (Penny) Hollopeter, and MaryLou (Roger Carlson) Rose, both of Cheboygan, Debbie (Dale) Pugh of Indian River, Barb Hollopeter of Traverse City, and Harley (Tammy) Hollopeter, also of Cheboygan, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harley, a son Floyd Hollopeter, a grandchild, William M. Hollopeter, a great grandchild, William David Lee Hollopeter, son in law, Dennis Rose, two brothers, Ted and Dick Kolaski, two sisters, Betty Lou Skuzlas and Dody Ainsworth, and a nephew, Frankie Ainsworth.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from noon until 2:00pm, at the Topinabee Town Hall.
