Mary Gail Myers

Mary Gail Myers, 85, of Cheboygan, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Hospice House in Cheboygan.

A resident of the area for the past 30 years, moving from Waterford, Gail was born July 20, 1931 in Detroit, the daughter of Joseph Vincent and Miriam (Wilson) Gallivan.  On November 20, 1958 in Waterford, she married Donald Myers.  She attended Marygrove College in Detroit.  Gail was the 1st female dispatch agent in the country, working for United Airlines in Detroit.  She later worked as a property manager for a real estate company in Waterford.  After moving to the area, she worked as the historical interpreter at the State Park in Mackinaw City, was a member of St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church, was an avid flower gardener, and enjoyed going to garage sales.

Surviving are her husband, Donald, three children, Donald Myers of Vienna, Virginia, Lisa (Ken) Kiger, and Gretchen (Tom) Hebert, both of Waterford, and one granddaughter, Sarah Hebert.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:30am at St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church, with Rev. Duane Wachowiak officiating.
