Naomi Jean Seger, 80, of Bliss, Michigan, died April 27, 2016.
Naomi was born February 25, 1936 in Willowdell, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Loretta Watren.
On January 8, 1955, she married James J. Seger in Piqua, Ohio. Together, they started a family and moved to northern Michigan in 1973.
Naomi was employed by Control Engineering; she retired from her position after 25 years with the company.
Naomi loved working outside, whether it was raising her chickens, gardening or feeding the birds; she was happiest when she was working. She was an extremely generous person. Naomi always made sure visitors left with a full belly and a smile. Her family will remember her wonderful banana bread, pumpkin bread and brownies. Naomi was of the "No Waste Generation" and definitely lived up to the title. She was hardworking, loving, kind and completely selfless.
She is survived by her three sons, Dave (Mary Ellenberger) Seger of Oden, William (Gina) Seger of Sault Ste. Marie and Thomas (Connie) Seger of Bliss; three grandchildren, Nathaniel (Debbie) Seger, Allison (Tom Martin) Seger, Lexi Seger and honorary granddaughter, Olivia Rhiner; three great-grandchildren, Naomi Seger, Tony Seger and Blake Seger; a brother, Richard Watren; and a sister, Maxine Pence.
Naomi is preceded in death by her husband, James J. Seger; and her siblings, Forest, Floyd, Lova, Carl, Evelyn and Mary Margaret.
There will be a funeral service on May 4, 2016 at the Bliss Missionary Church at 11:00 a.m. with an hour gathering prior to the time of service.
