NettieLou (Stewart) Diamond

NettieLou Diamond, 86

NettieLou Diamond age 86 of Petoskey, passed away Friday, January 5, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan. 

Her family will celebrate her life during a memorial service that is planned for 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Stone Funeral Home.  The service will be led by Dan Mapes.

NettieLou was born on July 14, 1931 in Grand Rapids to Edwin and Mary Stewart.  On November 30, 1957 she married James Diamond in Petoskey at the First Presbyterian Church. 

NettieLou worked as a secretary for Burley Insurance as well as Harbor-Brenn.  For a number of years after her initial retirement she went to work in the office of William Smith Realty.  Her family will remember a wonderful mom and grandma, who loved her three children and six grandchildren will all of her heart.  She was a voracious reader and enjoyed needlepoint. 

NettieLou's family include her children Shawn (Angela) Diamond of Alanson, Michele Dunlop of Florida and Kyle (Judy) Diamond of West Jordan, Utah, and her grandchildren Rory Diamond, Katarina and Kalen Diamond, Jessica (Jim) Sessions, Cody Barnes, Tristan Overholt, and Michael, Mark and Angie Dunlop.  She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband James on December 11, 1999.
