Patricia Anne Clarkson, 75, of Harbor Springs, passed away January 17, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital.
Pat was born in Detroit on August 5, 1941, the daughter of Francis and Gertrude (Ogden) Woodruff. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Wayne State University in 1968 with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree with a major in Political Science.
On August 20, 1977, Pat married Steve Clarkson. It was the happiest day of their lives.
Pat was an account manager for Sun Micro Systems and later started working with her husband, Steve, as lead administrator for his business, Heritage Investment Management.
She had a passion for reading, sewing, doing puzzles and spending time with her beloved dog, Rob Roy, "Robbie". She enjoyed sailing and traveling. She had a lovely singing voice and was a talented pianist. Pat was an exceptional cook.
Pat was very active in her church, First Presbyterian in Harbor Springs, where she was appointed as a Stephen Minister.
Pat is survived by her husband, Steve Clarkson of Harbor Springs; in-laws, Patti and Jim Kennedy of Ann Arbor; nieces, Jenna Carlson of Santa Monica, CA., Laura Corral of Glendale Heights, IL. and Carrie Kennedy of Ann Arbor, MI.; close friend, Sandy and Ken Trosein of Brighton, MI.
There will be a memorial mass celebrated at the First Presbyterian Church in Harbor Springs on Monday, January 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour gathering prior to the service. Pastor Kip Murphy will officiate.
