Patricia H. (Hannan) McEnroe

Patricia H. McEnroe, 95, died August 19, 2016 while at home, surrounded by family.

Pat was born on December 22, 1920, the daughter of Patrick and Rose (Callahan) Hannan.

On April 13, 1946, she married John McEnroe, M.D., in Albany, New York. The McEnroe’s moved to Petoskey in 1962, where John served as a Radiologist at Burns Clinic.

Pat enjoyed playing bridge and solitaire. She was a voracious reader, especially of mystery novels.  She travelled extensively, and had the opportunity to visit Ireland, on a very special trip with her husband, John. Her family put it best when they jokingly said, Pat loved “faith, family and Notre Dame Football” and the order of those things might change on game day.

She is survived by her children, John (Loretta) McEnroe of Scottsdale, Arizona, Michael (Charlene, deceased) McEnroe of Chardon, Ohio, Daniel McEnroe of Paris, France, Patricia (Jerry, deceased) Glaser of Petoskey, Michigan, Robert McEnroe, PhD, of Noblesville, Indiana, Karen (James) Wolf, M.D., of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Margaret (Hans Peterson) Stradling of Kalamazoo, Michigan; grandchildren, Sean (Heather Jeanne) McEnroe, Heather (Karl) Derrah, Annie Laurie (James) Demko, Benjamin (Laura) Glaser, Andrew (Hellene) Glaser, Matthew (Morgan) Glaser, Daniel Glaser, Kathryn (Nicholas) Reed, Thomas Wolf, and Nicole (Kyle) Simon; great grandchildren, Marcus McEnroe, Cedric McEnroe,  Nathaniel McEnroe, Bernadette McEnroe, Garrett Demko, Andrew (Drew) Demko, Annika Glaser, Aayden Glaser, Aarenn Glaser, Alexis Glaser, Alyssa Glaser, Zachary Glaser, Whitney Rigney, Hannah Reed, Charles Reed, Caroline Reed and Bodi Simon; and her brother, Joseph James (Dottye) Hannan of Montgomery, Alabama. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, John E. McEnroe, M.D.; her brothers, Francis Hannan and William Hannan; and her sister, Rosemary (Hannan) Murray.

There will be a visitation at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey, from 6-8 p.m. on August, 22 2016. A Funeral Mass will be held on August 23, 2016 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Petoskey, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Father Dennis Stilwell will officiate the service.
