Richard Calvin "Dick" Coppernoll

Richard Calvin “Dick” Coppernoll, age 71 of Cheboygan passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey. He was born October 8, 1944 in Jackson, MI, the son of Clyde and Pauline (Collins) Coppernoll. On October 16, 1976 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Dick married Lynn Reynolds who survives.

Dick had been employed with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff prior to moving to Cheboygan and going to work for the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff. He retired after 16 years of service. He then worked for Bank of America (now PNC) in the collections department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and watching sports.

Besides his wife Lynn, Dick is survived by his daughter, Michelle Fenlon, two brothers, Donald and Douglas, grandson, Zachary (Samantha) Fenlon, his great grandson, Hunter Fenlon, all of Cheboygan, sisters-in-law, Lois Coppernoll of Leslie, MI and Lee Ann (Richard) Reeves of Linden, MI and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father, Cliff Lamphere, three brothers, William, Larry and Robert and three sisters, Dorothy, Jean and Janice.

No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions in Dick’s name may be directed to the Dialysis Unit at the Demmer Wellness Center in Petoskey. Nordman-Christian Funeral Home is caring for the family.
