Romaine Kwiatkowski

Romaine Catherine Kwiatkowski, 87, of Cheboygan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Hospice House in Cheboygan.

Romaine was born June 17, 1928 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, the daughter of Andrew and Grace Kling.

Devoted wife of the late Edmund “Peewee” Kwiatkowski and beloved mother of 17, Romaine enjoyed many pursuits throughout her lifetime, including bowling, bingo, and drawing, but nothing made her happier than festive gatherings with her large family.

Romaine is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Michael Lalonde), Mary (Nathan Edwards), Susan (James Brandau), Carol (Harold Watts), Ann (Tom Fields), Romaine (Curt Springer) Louise (Charles Munchbach), Kathy, and Kelli (Noeland Collins), her sons, James (Susan), Keith (Kris) John (Prudence), Kenneth (Jill), David (Mary), Peter, Mark, and Tom (Gail), and her 44 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.  She filled all of their lives with unconditional love, endless laughter, and overwhelming joy.

A private celebration of Romaine’s life will take place at a later date.

Her family requests that donations in Romaine’s name be made to Vital Care Hospice House of Cheboygan.

The Nordman-Christian Funeral Home is caring for the family.
