Ronald William Midyett

Ronald William Midyett, 49 of Indian River, MI passed away on April 3, 2018 at his home in Indian River.

Ron was born on July 30, 1968 in Petoskey, MI, the son of Gene & Frances (Hendricks) Midyett. He grew up in Alanson and attended high school at Alanson Littlefield, graduating in 1986. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Lake Superior State University. Ron made his home in Petoskey for several years before moving to Indian River in 2016. He was employed as an account manager for Eikenhout, Inc. in Harbor Springs. Ron enjoyed traveling, boating, biking, kayaking, reading, singing, and spending time with family and friends.

Ron is survived by his companion Dean Smith, children Tyler (Rilla) Midyett of Petoskey, and Mariah Midyett of Indian River, stepson Trevor Howery of Lima, OH, and their mother Kim Winters, grandson Cashton Cole, mother Frances Midyett of Indian River, siblings Kathleen (Gerry) Barnadyn of Indian River, Dawn (Jim) Fairbairn of Orlando, FL, Gene (Glenda) Midyett of Alanson, Dennis (Amanda) Midyett of Indian River, Teddy (Amanda) Midyett of Hillman and close friend Donna Ruhling. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family. Ron was preceded in death by his father Gene Midyett.

Services for Ron will be held on April 7th, 2018 at the Alanson Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm, with a memorial service at 12pm. There will be a luncheon to follow lasting until 4pm.
