Ruth N (Sloop) Nichols

Ruth N. Nichols, age 83 of Boyne City passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was born in East Jordan on February 28, 1934 to Harry and Elizabeth Sloop.

Being with her family gave her the most joy.  She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers.  She loved collecting old jewelry, animated toys and dolls.

Ruth is survived by her husband Robert (Crazy Bob) Nichols, two daughters; Robin (Jim) Hissong Berry and Rose (Ken) Rau; four sons Bob (Ruth) Nichols, Rick (Trini) Nichols, Roger (Sue) Nichols, Russ (Lisa) Nichols; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren with two more on the way; three brothers Ralph, Ray and Richard Sloop; sister-in-law’s Dolly (Ken) Anderson and Betty Niedringhaus; brother-in-law Carl Nichols and lots of nieces and nephews.

Ruth’s life will be remembered and celebrated 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 9th at the Community of Christ Church in Boyne City.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Salvation Army.
