Sheryl Ann Roush

Sheryl Ann Roush, age 59, of Cheboygan passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at McLaren Hospital in Cheboygan. She was born November 28, 1957 in Cadillac, the daughter of Richard and Marilyn (McGunegle).

Sheryl graduated from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology. She took pride in her job as a Lab Tech at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital and retired in 2011after more than 25 years. She loved her co-workers and her friends at the cardiac rehab.  Sheryl enjoyed crocheting (especially afghans for her friend’s babies), photography, traveling, including a trip to Disneyworld with her nephew, touring Lake Superior and, her favorite place, Copper Harbor.    She especially enjoyed spending time with her nephew and niece as well as her cat, Lela.

Survivors include her mother, Marilyn Roush of Cheboygan and her sister, Beth (Paul) Callison, both of Cheboygan, nephew, Paul (Jill) Callison and their daughter, Faith, of Interlochen, niece, Mary Callison of Grand Rapids, two aunts, Beverly Sangster and her family of Cheboygan and Janet Krause and her family of Tawas City, Cousins, Ronald (Mary) Roush and their family of Cheboygan, Vicki Bledsoe and her sons of Cheboygan and Susanne Roush of NC.  She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service will take place at the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor John Bailey will officiate and burial of Sheryl's ashes will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery immediately following the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cheboygan County Humane Society.
