Victor Polanco Chavez

Victor Polanco Chavez, 80, of Petoskey, Michigan, died February 6, 2017 at Mallard Cove Assisted Living in Petoskey.

Victor was born September 18, 1936 in Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the son of Jose and Erotila (Polanco) Chavez.

On January 7, 1956, he married Beverly Florence Boerkoel in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Victor joined the United States Army and proudly served his country.

He loved to bowl, fish and spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grand children.

Victor is survived by his children, Vicki Lynn Daniel, Lynda Jean (David) Belzak, Carolyn Rose (Richard) Chavez-Lycette, Nancy Ann (David) Baczkiewicz, Joseph John Chavez and Patricia Lee (Thomas) Bush; grandchildren, Anita (Troy) Smith, Michael McIntosh, David R. Belzak, William (Suzanne) McCormick, Nina Lycette, Brendan Bush, Devin Bush, and Joseph V. Chavez; great grandchildren, Mya Chavez and Addison Turkington; and his sister, Guadalupe Bermea.

Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; and one daughter, Anita Diane Chavez.
