Virginia Ann Cochran, 74 of Petoskey, died March 3, 2018 at her home.
Virginia was born on February 23, 1944 in Detroit, the daughter of Melvin and Viola Mae (Radle) Luesing and was raised in Petoskey. She graduated from Petoskey High School with the Class of 1962.
On May 17, 2003, Virginia married James W. Cochran and he survives.
Virginia had a true gift for serving the elderly and worked as a caregiver throughout her life. She loved her dogs, writing poetry, laughing and having fun.
Virginia is survived by her husband, James; son, Carl (Melissa) Johnson; step-son, Josh (Tracy) Cochran; grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Krista Thurston, Samantha Hanson, Nicholas Johnson, Riley Johnson, Bailey Reinhardt, Linzee Reinhardt, and Jake Cochran; great grandchildren, Delilah, Theodore, and Zayden; brothers, Jim (Thelma) Luesing, John “Jack” Luesing and Doug (Rose) Luesing; sister Christine Welsh; aunts, Lois Luesing and Ethel Bump; and by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17th at 11:00am at the Landmark Baptist Church.
Arrangements are in the care of the Stone Funeral Home of Petoskey.
