Jeanne Marie (Carter) Collins

Jeanne Marie Collins (Carter), 73, of Cheboygan, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at her home. Jeanne was born on October 18, 1947, the daughter of Delmar Carter and Lila Jewell.

Jeanne graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1965 and first married Richard Bauers for over twenty years and later married Harry Collins who blessed her with another 20+ years of marriage and preceded her in death in 2012.

She spent most of her career as a waitress, working at the Carnation for 18 years and later working for other local restaurants like Big Boy. She loved traveling across the country, cooking, and her scratch off lottery tickets.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Richard and Ray (Katrina) Bauers of Cheboygan, grandkids, Sean Bauers and Derrick (Lexi Provo) Raville, great grandchildren, Emmett Bauers, Bailey, Maverick, Noah, and Oakley Raville, and Brynn Provo, brothers, Ron and Don Carter, sisters Boniita Preseau, Linda Ballard, and Jewell “Boots” LaHaie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar Carter and Lila Jewell, her step-father, Red Hogland, a son, Steven Patrick Bauers, a daughter, Jody Marie Bauers, and a brother, David Carter.
