JoAnn (Yankoviak) Eddy, 81, of Cheboygan passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. She was born the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Zyble) Yankoviak on August 10, 1939.
JoAnn grew up in Cheboygan where she attended and graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1957. In 1958 she married John “Jack” Eddy, who shared 55 years with her before passing away in 2013. She worked for 20 years at Fox Valley Instrument Company until they closed, then worked for Fashion Bug Clothing Store until they closed, and finally spent 20 years working for Walmart before retiring.
She loved to feed her birds, deer, and rabbits that would come to visit her, but she loved to spoil her great grandkids most of all.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Susan (Terry Jewell) Tryban and John (Doreen) Eddy, both of Cheboygan, her grandchildren, Lynn (Karl Eppler) Tryban and John T. (Crystal) Eddy, great grandchildren, Sierra, Arron, and John W. Eddy, and her brothers, Tom (Judy) and Jim (Jan) Yankoviak.
She is preceded in death by her husband, a son, Tom Eddy, and her brother, Bob Yankoviak.
Per JoAnn's wishes, no services or funeral will take place.
Memorial contributions in JoAnn’s honor may be sent to the Cheboygan County Humane Society.
