Lois Bandemer Obituary

Lois Ann Bandemer passed peacefully at home with her family at her side on March 15, 2024.

She was born May 14, 1929 in Logan, Ohio the daughter of Clarence and Audrey (Appleman) Blum. She moved to Detroit, Michigan when she was five years old and graduated from South Eastern High School in 1947.

On June 17, 1950, Lois married Melvin "Louie" Bandemer in Detroit, Michigan. Lois was a loving wife to Louie for 63 years. Together they went on to have five beautiful daughters; Susan Boyer, Luann Wentworth, Judith Boyer (Michael), Lauren Walker-Stevens (Mark) and Leigh Cassidy (Jerry).

Lois' main job was being an amazing homemaker and raising five successful women, all while supporting her husband's family business. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Lois. She loved fashion and once owned her own women's clothing store, The Casual Stop Women’s Clothing Store. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Lois also taught Sunday school for many years. She was once an avid bowler and always loved a good visit with family over Gurney's sandwiches or cinnamon buns.  Lois was originally from Ohio and was a Buckeye fan. Her pleasant personality and kindest heart were contagious to everyone she met and she will be sorely missed.

She was inseparable until the very end from her kitty companion, Callie.

Lois is survived by her grandchildren: Tim Boyer, Chad Corey, Clay Corey (Amy), Cheyne Corey (Tara), John Walker.(Aimee), Chris Walker (Nikki), Jennifer Bilicek (Bryson), Nakita Cassidy, Tristin Cassidy (Marissa); great grandchildren: Mitchell Corey, Jase Walker, Scott Mason, Kaiden Scott, Ellie Scott, Nolan Buckner,  MaRynn Corey, CamBrie Corey, Marshall Corey, MaCayla Corey, Audrey Corey, Sadie Corey, Lucas Corey and Noah Corey, Allie Boyer.
