Roy Harrison Obituary

Roy Clark Harrison, 89, of Indian River passed away on March 24, 2024 in Petoskey.

Roy was born in Detroit, MI on January 1, 1935 to Ernest and Mary (Patterson) Harrison.

He grew up in St. Clair Shores and graduated from Lake Shore High School. In 1953 he married Sally Barker and they made their home in Mt. Clemens.

Roy was a carpenter by trade. He was employed with Hawkinson Construction Co.. On March 3, 1986 he married Janet O'Kray in Texas.

The couple made their home in Indian River. She preceded him in death in 2013. Roy enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, boating and camping.

Roy is survived by his children Jeanne (Mike) Eddy of Wolverine, Carol (Kyle) Ward of Texas, Kenneth Harrison of Ionia, David (Becky) Harrison of Troy and companion Sally.

He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Harrison and 4 siblings.
