December 13, 1983 ~ February 6, 2018 (age 34)

Aaron Alonzo Wagenschutz, 34, of Petoskey, died February 6, 2018.

Aaron was born December 13, 1983, in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Edwin and Debbie (Bascom) Wagenschutz. He grew up in Petoskey and attended Petoskey High School.

Aaron shared ten wonderful years with his partner Rachel Garrod.

For the last three years he has been a real estate agent with Real Estate One in Petoskey. Aaron enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing and his true passion was finish carpentry. He always loved being with his friends, family, dog Gunner and cat Gator Bait.

Aaron will be remembered best for his loving, selfless and easy going manner. He will be deeply missed.

Aaron is survived by his parents, Edwin and Debbie Wagenschutz of Petoskey; his partner, Rachel Garrod; his brother, Eric (Mary Lake) Wagenschutz of Wolverine; sister, Abby (Trevor) Rogers of Petoskey; nieces, Penelope and Caroline Rogers; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and countless friends.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Aaron's childhood home (9174 East Mitchell Road, Petoskey, MI 49770) on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. as well as a Celebration of Life memorial day weekend, more details will be announced as they become available.
