Anita Louise Marshall, age 77, of Cheboygan and Harbor Springs passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey. She was born July 22, 1940 in Portland, ME, the daughter of George and Noella (Piacentini) Wilson. She grew up in Portland and Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and graduated from Ft. Anita and Harold owned and operated Marshall’s Plumbing and Heating for over 30 years. They also owned and operated the Cheboygan Laundromat and Dry cleaning for 16 years. Upon retirement, Anita and Harold wintered in Nokomas, FL for more than 14 years.

Anita enjoyed camping, reading, volleyball, dancing, exercising and playing cards. She loved her dogs who were like children to her.

Besides her husband Harold, Anita is survived by her two children, Jeff (Malanka) Marshall of Cheboygan and Lauri (Todd) Gusa of Stuart, FL, three grandchildren, Harold, Marina and Dino, all of Cheboygan and several nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, no services are planned at this time as she wanted to be remembered when she was well. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay.  Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
