Arthur "Art" E. Trower

Arthur “Art” E. Trower, age 89, of Cheboygan passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Tendercare. He was born August 7, 1928 in Cheboygan, the son of OK and Crystal (Braden) Trower. On February 13, 1965, Art married Estelle Nordman.

Art was in the Boy Scouts for many years and had served 19 years in the National Guard. He was a licensed locksmith and had also worked at Northwood Products, Detroit Tap & Tool and Cheboygan Manufacturing.

Survivors include his wife Estelle of Cheboygan, three sons, Ernest (Carol) of Billingham, WA, Robert of Cheboygan and Benjamin (Tracy) of Everett, WA, one sister, Mary Ann Sundin of Somerset, MI, his brother, John (Alexandria) Trower of Houston, TX and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Guy (Derva) Trower and Theodore (Ruby) Trower and his sister, Laura (Dick) Stroebel.

A memorial service will take place at Faith Baptist Church on Friday, November 10 at 2:00 PM with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jim Currie will officiate.  Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
