Charles "Chuck" Sessions, Sr.

Charles Henry “Chuck” Sessions, Sr., 66 of Alanson, walked on June 7, 2018 in Petoskey.

Chuck was born on May 23, 1952 in Flint, MI, and was raised by his parents, Otto and Marion (Austin) Sessions in Pontiac, MI.  he attended Pontiac High School before entering the US Army and being stationed in Germany.  Upon receiving his honorable discharge, Chuck returned home and went to work for General Motors in Pontiac at Pontiac Truck and Bus, later Truck and Coach. 

Chuck married the former Roxanne Parvu in Walled Lake, MI and the two made their home in Pontiac.  Upon retiring from General Motors after over 30 years of dedicated service, he and Roxanne moved to Alanson where the two have resided since.

Chuck enjoyed fishing and swimming but loved to be funny and was always a comedian.  He enjoyed bringing people up when they were feeling down.  He was a wonderful husband and father and a great friend to all that knew him.  He was a member of the American Legion and the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians.

He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Roxanne; 7 children, Charles (fiancée, Mitzi Bixler) Sessions, Jr. of Petoskey, Brian Sessions of Alanson, Jim (Jessica) Sessions of Indian River, Adam Sessions of Boyne City, Krystal Sessions of Alanson, Paul Sessions of Alanson, and Teresa Sessions of Alanson, grandchildren, Charles Sessions III, Karliegh Sessions, Hailey Cronk, Quentin Cronk, Emma Cronk, Michael Carson, and one more on the way, Alexis Sessions; brothers, James Sessions, Dewayne Ford, Ron Head and Larry Head; sisters, Darlene Oakford and Charlyne Carss; nephew, Joshua Head; and by a niece, Billi Jo Head.

Services will be held on Sunday, June 10th at 11am at the Stone Funeral Home with Rev Dan Chingwa officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 10am until the time of service.
