Cheryl Ann Nelson, age 56 of Boyne City, MI died August 12, 2018 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Cheryl was born on July 26, 1962 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of Dick and Betty (Miller) Nelson. Cheryl worked as a CAN at Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan, MI; she loved working with others and caring for the residents. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and golf.

Cheryl is survived by her boyfriend of 9 years Darryl Korthase of Boyne City; mother Betty (Miller) Davis of Warren, IN; sister Teresa Bayard of Lacomb, IL; brother Perry Nelson of Warren, IN; nephew David Matthew Bayard (Jessica Dittman) of Lacomb; great niece Cecilia Grace Bayard Lacomb; Wesley Bayard (Christie Craft) of New Orleans, LA and many loving aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her father Dick Nelson and brother Terry Nelson.

A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held at a date and place to be determined.
