Deana Sue Wiegandt Kleinschrodt, 76, of Boyne Falls, passed away peacefully, February 6, 2017, at Hospice House - Highland Cottage, Petoskey, Michigan.
Deana was born July 11, 1941, in Johannesburg, Michigan, the daughter of Walter and Halcyon Wiegandt. On February 19, 1960, at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, she joined the love of her life, Pvt. Dean E. Kleinschrodt in a marriage lasting just thirteen days short of fifty eight years. Deana and Dean moved back to Michigan in 1965 after spending 5 1/2 years in Missouri and Texas. Deana worked as a waitress at Fiddlers Green Restaurant, in manufacturing for a few years, and then in retail at Giant Way, Giant, Glen's North, and Family Fare of Petoskey (Kegomic) all in the same building as store ownership changed. During her last few years, Deana worked as Assistant Night Front End Manager until health issues forced her to retire in November, 2010. Deana enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. She created and sold crafts in her retirement, until again, health issues forced her to stop.
Deana is survived by her husband Dean, son Donald, daughter Donna, mother Halcyon Wiegandt of Frankenmuth, sister Grace Lynne (Darryl) Smith, of Frankenmuth, sister Faith (Mike) Fusco of Connecticut., 5 Grandsons, 1 Granddaughter, 4 Great Grandsons and 1 Great Granddaughter.
Deana was preceded in death by her father Walter C. Wiegandt and Great Granddaughter Deana Lucille Kleinschrodt.
