Donald D. Linton

Donald D. Linton, age 84, of Indian River passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey. He was born December 1, 1932 in Coleman, MI, the son of Henry and Irene (Reed) Linton.

Don served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952. He worked as a brick mason and had worked on several projects around the Indian River area. He had been a member of the Indian River Masonic Lodge and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two brothers, Keith (Charlene) Linton of TX and Errol (Linda) Linton of Gladwin and his dear friends, Erik and Wendy Schoonmaker and their children, Sydney, Sabrina, Skylar and Samuel, all of Alanson.

A memorial service will take place at the Indian River Masonic Activity Center on Saturday, May 13, at 1:00 PM with a luncheon immediately following the service. Arrangements are being handled by the Lintz Funeral Home.
