Donald J. Sova, 85, of Cheboygan, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at home.
A lifelong resident of the area, Don was born September 18, 1932 in Cheboygan, the son of Oscar and Dora (Valot) Sova. He had been employed at Plymouth Industries, Cheboygan Manufacturing, and Management Resources Development, retiring in 1997. Don enjoyed playing cards, board games, and was an avid birdwatcher.
Surviving are a daughter, June (Michael) Viau of Cheboygan, two sons, Mark (Missy) Sova of Menominee, and Rollin (Tonja Williams) Sova, also of Cheboygan, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children, Donna Jewell in 2006, a daughter, Patricia Anderson, a grandson, Rollin James Sova, II, a sister, Joyce Proctor, and two special friends, Donna Russell and Jane Scrimger.
No services are planned at this time.
